best quote from friday - my friend overheard a mother saying to her child as they went down to rotherslade bay (sandy beach, fantastic climbing rocks) 'no climbing, and no getting wet'. Irritating and hilarious at the same time. Might as well have followed it with 'sit still on those freezing pebbles and observe all the other kids climbing and getting wet, mmmmwahahahahahahahahahah'. Perhaps she had her reasons. Fascism, possibly.
sat was lovely, as was friday evening. i took the night off (meaning, had a night in, as if my other nights are 'work' which they patently are not. but, you know, basically i chose a night without people and it was utterly good for me). today - went for coffee in mumbles, walked there (in an hour - amazingly speedy) along the front - sunny and warm, just as it always is in swansea (i know it isn't, i know, but the Other People don't know that, do they??!!), had coffee with one friend in her lunch break then found another friend (in the pub). Drank more coffee. Went home wired (the coffee is goooood but it is possible to overdo it). went to see chicago and then had to choose between home to bed and out to a club night some of our friends do. Like i have to think about it really... i am a pubs girl, not a fan of clubs (never have been, i prefer a good sit down and a Nice Chat to people proving themselves on the dance floor and not being able to hear each other. Sometimes i do like the music though). I'm home. when the others come in it is unlikely they'll wake me up. they're good like that.
