We had no minister at church yesterday. Our regular minister was away on leave and the stand-in he'd arranged didn't show (not sure why yet). Anyway after a few minutes of sitting around chatting someone got up and said let's sing a few songs....
So we did.
Then someone said a prayer.
A couple read passages of scripture.
We had a sharing time (I talked about my ducks - see last posting) we shared concerns about the world situation, particularly the London bombings, which led into prayers of intercession.
A time of meditation, a couple more songs and we finished with coffee in the hall.
It was a sort of “open-mike” church and I reckon we should be more like that every Sunday.
