My sweet wife put a touch-lamp on my bedside table.
Well, it really annoyed me.
It looked too pretty, wasn't bright enough to read by and worse still, I'd roll over and accidently touch it in the middle of the night and get this light blazing in my eyes.
Or in a half awake, early morning moment, stretching over to turn on the radio.....instead of pleasant music ZAP..I felt like a rabbit caught in headlights.
Don't ask me what I was doing but I discovered you could turn it on by just touching it with your foot, nose or any part of your body
The lamp had to go, and it did, relegated to the back room to use its surprise midnight illuminations on any poor unsuspecting visitor we may have staying over.
I'd hoped that meant the episode was over, but it isn't, my brain won't let go as, (and this is worst of all) I can't figure out how the darned thing works. I found myself in there today touching the lamp again and again to make it go on and off.
Can someone explain how it turns on and off? I need to move on.
You know it doesn't work if your foot that touches it has a sock on......
