It feels a bit strange to be writing about a talk I gave. It loses something in the literation...perhaps it's the banter with the listeners... which now makes it, to me, (dare I say) a bit boring.
I figured...talk about something else, lighten it up a bit... and then come back later...
So....
My favourite breakfast is:
Grab a large soup bowl, (large enough to fit 4 weet-bix flat on the bottom) and put the four said weet-bix in. (If you don't have weet-bix, or Vita-brits, where you are, I don't know...they probably have a different name. They are wheat flakes squashed into a sort-of brick).
Anyway, pour cold full cream milk on the weet-bix, just enough that they soak up the milk and are not flooded in it.
Once bix are soggy, spread home-made cherry plum jam over them liberally, and then cover the lot with about half an inch of pure cream.
You've gotta believe it, I'm salivating as I type this....it is the BEST brekky.
I used to eat that all the time when I was a kid, (being raised on a dairy farm, there was always plenty of cream) but now I only have it as a real treat.
....maybe tomorrow morning....Jyummm
