The kernal

Eventually connected back to the world with ADSL. Cool!
Over the past month or so I have formulated a few things in my mind to write about but none of them seemed right so I've just sort of neglected my blog.
The following is often occupying my thoughts.
The congregation I am in started about 15 years ago, I have been in the lay leadership team all that time, and now we are looking at folding. I can't express what a huge part of my life, and my families life, this fellowship has been, so I face the situation with more than a tinge of sadness.
I know it's right, I only hope we are able to finish in a positive way... I think the next few months will be spent working at that.
There is one congregation of the same denomination in our small town and several other very welcoming congregations from other denominations so I'm confident that people will find homes.
I have friends in all of the town's churches...but when I look ahead I can't see myself in any of those groups... there's just a black hole.
I am confident, I know God has a plan... somehow I'm reminded of the scripture where Jesus says something like.. a kernal of wheat has to fall to the ground and die before it can produce many seeds.
