Today was a no-work-for-me Sunday. I could have gone to church in jeans, no need to dress. But somehow the habit of dressing up for that darned job is still upon me.
So I compromised. The outfit I wore today would've needed a blazer to meet dress code at work, but it was far dressier than jeans.
Was treated to a nice long entertaining well-delivered sermon about how aaaaaall those religious groups out there are NOT the church of the Lord. Urk.
Would be helpful if the man was unintelligent or if he did not bring up so much actual Scriptural truth in the process of preaching his claptrap. Would take a series of two-hour lunch meetings over three months for me to explain exactly WHY he was so very very wrong...
Sigh. Maybe I need to go back to work so I can miss more church events, if for no other reason.
