My Personal Plague

I have been blessed in this house all these years. Little or no trouble with insects of any sort -- which is a major achievement in Louisiana --

I can count the roaches I have seen on one hand (not literally, yuck!), but they are the big ones that wander in and die. And since we always have a cat around, and some traps to back him up, we don't have to worry about mice.

This is an active season for little green tree frogs, though, and we are a open-windows sort of family, so...

Rather than the almost-missed-it flash of a mouse dashing along the floor, I get that same flash when a pretty little green frog clambers across my kitchen cabinets, or when a shiny little lemon yellow frog perches on my refrigerator door.

Positive things about frog infestation:

*No little mosquitoes or fruit flies or gnats can survive in your home.

*Pretty music late at night.

*Company in the shower (yes, they will come in the kitchen window and literally hop across the living room, down the little hallway to the bath, looking for the shower).

I bet y'all don't have your very own Egyptian Plague.

Are you envious?
