What with all the craft excitement and generally non wiblogging recently, I forgot to tell you this.
Next month we are leaving Groover with the grandparents for a night, and going up to London, to see the Antony Gormley exhibition at the Hayward. I am very excited about this on pretty much every front you can think of - going away, going away just the two of us, I haven't been to London for years, haven't been to a big exhibition for years and years, I love Antony Gormley's work, it looks SO GOOD from all I've read about it and it's all just very exciting indeed.
Nearly didn't happen when I started to investigate trains, and the cheapest return to London I could find was £60 each!!!! Not really an option when we'd be looking for somewhere to stay in London as well. That's so irritating as I'd far prefer to go by train. Still, we're going to drive to Slough and stay in a travelodge there (oh! the romance!) and get the train in from Slough. This is okay as the point was getting to the exhibition rather than staying somewhere lovely, but honestly! Slough!
Still, I'm very excited.
