This is a new bag, made for a relative to give as a gift. The cuff around the top and the handles are a heavy cotton, and the floral part is a heavy upholstery fabric. (Bought as a remnant so I don't know what the composition is.) The little flower on the front is on a brooch pin so it can be taken off/moved around as desired. There is a magnetic snap in the cuff to keep it closed and a zipped internal pocket. The lining is a plain unbleached cotton.
UPDATE: Mr b pointed out last night that this picture makes the bag look much smaller than it is, but I was too tired to do anything about it - then Big Sister said the same thing so I thought I'd better update! The blue cuff at the top is 14 inches side to side, and the base is 18 inches long. Those are the only measurements I can remember and the bag is no longer in my possession, so I hope that gives you more of an idea.
This is my own design.
Questions:
1. If you bought this bag, would it be for everyday use or special occasions?
2. Would you expect to see a bag like this in a craft shop?
3. Would you buy it? For yourself? As a gift?
4. What would you expect to pay for it in a craft shop?
Thanks!
*I'm calling the bags by the names of people I've made them for, mainly. I want to avoid calliing this one, for example 'blue rosy bag' as it's the design (ie the shape & construction) of the bag I'm asking about, rather than the choice of fabric.
