Thanks for your comments on the earlier bag - all very interesting. When I've shown you all of thm I might ask some more general questions too unless we're all bored stiff by then.
These bags are both made of a medium weight linen, lined with a patterned fabric (visible on the second one - the first is lined with the red, green & white fabric which is the central patch on the outside). The bags are six inches across at the top of the fabric. The curved part of the frame at the top functions as a handle, as you can see and also has a purse-style clasp to keep the whole thing closed. There are also loops to attach a chain although I haven't done that on either of these.
The first of these bags is decorated with machine stitching, beads and buttons, and the second with patches of fabric, one of which co-ordinates with the lining.
Similar questions to last time:
- Would you expect to see a bag like this in a craft shop/craft market, or in a more high street store?
- If both these bags were side by side, would you expect there to be any difference in price between the two given the difference in decoration, although the basic design is the same?
- Which of the two do you prefer?
- What sort of price tag do you think a bag like this would have? (I hope this is phrased better than last time - for instance it's perfectly reasonable to say "I would imagine a bag like this to cost £x although I wouldn't pay that for it myself", or "I have seen bags like this one sale for £x which I think is extortionate!", for example!)
