Help me with some making...

At the bottom of our stairs is a mirror, and above the mirror is a space which is crying out for Something In A Frame. Above a doorway in the hall, in a sort of corresponding space, I have hanging a sampler embroidered by an ancestor of mine (with the same unusual Christian name) in 18somethingorother. This make me quite partial to the idea of a bit of framed embroidery hanging above the mirror.

(I think those of you who know me well already know where this is going). So. I don't want a twee sampler type thing (although I have toyed with doing a copy of the old one but with my name), but I think I'd like some text. I think I've posted before that I am a fan of Kate Westerholt's work - she does cross stitch which at first glance looks like a traditional sort of sampler but the text is not what you expect.

Sooo, I need some text. I have a couple of ideas (1. 'Yes, your bum does look big in that' and 2. 'Count your blessings and get over yourself', inspired by comments on someone's wiblog recently.) But I thought it would be fun to see if you lot come up with anything. But, like Rosamundi in her search for a wedding reading, I draw the line at 'Eskimo Nell'.

Have at it, wibloggers.

(Yes, I know about Subversive cross stitch and Urban cross stitch. Several of the Subversive Cross Stitch designs make me laugh out loud but are not really appropriate for the place in question (bear in mind Groover is reading now!). I've been in the middle of one of the Banksy designs from Urban Cross Stitch for, like, forever.)
