Chalky did indeed send me a helpful text message. I know this because I read her comment just now, and switched my phone on to look at it. I'm fairly sure that's not how it was meant to work, though.
I am rubbish with my mobile* and never turn it on. When I do turn it on, it often has no battery life, which has led to many occasions on which I have said 'I'll call you when I'm in town and we'll meet up' and then failed to do so. Actually Chalky has been on the receiving end of that as well. Sorry.
*curmudgeonly comment: It's not so much that I'm rubbish with the mobile as that I see it as a tool for me to contact other people rather than the other way around. The rest of the world disagrees, which is why when I do turn it on, there are usually loads of messages saying "what's the point of having a **** mobile if you never **** turn it on?!"
I did remember the urology appointment though!
