So much to blog about, so little energy.
This week has been Appointment Week.
Yesterday we were at the hospital for baby b to have a scan on his kidneys and see his paediatrician. All routine. Drove round carpark for half an hour looking for a space. Gave up and parked in residential street at the time of the first appointment. Ran to ultrasound dept, quite proud, under circumstances, to only be ten minutes late. Waited a further hour to see scanning person, thus technically missing paediatrician appointment. Had scan, dashed off to paediatrics, left hospital two and a half hours after arriving. Knackered.
Then today, off to doctors for MMR jab (him, not me, obviously). Mentioned in preliminary chat that it's possible baby b might be allergic to eggs - the dash to casualty back in september might, we think, have been caused by egg white. Said all this, then 'but I know it's okay for him to have it, even if he is allergic, I've read the leaflets'. (MMR vaccine has some sort of egg component, but they reckon that even if there is a severe allergy, it shouldn't be a problem.) Unfortunately although the HV agreed that it was probably fine, if there is an egg allergy they send babies to the hospital to have MMR, so that they can do it on the ward and keep them there for a few hours to observe. So at some unspecified time in the future we have to brave the car parking again.
Can tell am knackered, appear to have lost all pronouns.
I really, really want to do a round up of 2005 at some point as it has been a fun year. Hopefully I'll get a chance before, say, July.
