Unordered, I take your point about just getting on with the sock dog now, or I'll never do it, but I know myself too well. After the sock dog, there will be something else, and something else, and maybe I'll get the quilt done in time for baby b to take it to university with him.... I am going to compromise though, and be on the lookout for a nice stripey pair of socks to make a dog with. Then I will buy the socks and have them as a reminder to get on with the quilt and then make the dog.
I did a bit of the quilt last night after posting. It will actually come out bigger than I'd thought, once I've edged it etc, so I will stick with the original size (also I would have to get more fabric if I wanted to do it any bigger, and the chances of getting matching stuff are miniscule).
I will hopefully post photos later, in an attempt to shame myself into doing more work so I can post photos of progress!
ahem..... could I also confess here that I made a birthday card this morning... just a small thing, and baby b helped, and we just got the invitation to the birthday party yesterday, and it's this afternoon, so I wasn't going to go and buy one, was I?
