Reading that last post, it does look as though I might be about to go and embrace Buddhism, or something. Don't worry!
I think most of the dissatisfaction I have with church is in the 'What Church Should/Could Look Like' category rather than the theology category. I think I am pretty conservative theologically really, in the big scheme of things. In the smaller scheme of my church, there may be Dangerous Liberal tendencies. (The most recent manifestation of these being my desire to stand on the coffee table and shout 'the book of Genesis is not a science text book' very loudly at last week's home group).
Chalky and Big Sister summed it up really in the comments, and funnily enough, the fact of not being able to choose your spiritual family any more than you can choose your biological one had already crossed my mind.
