We've been away for the weekend. Down to Hertfordshire to see a friend for a couple of days. On Saturday we went here for the day which is where baby b encountered the giant sheep. It was a lovely day, and we could have easily stayed longer I think. It is the right time of year for it of course; there were lots of baby animals. We suspect that a certain person had been waiting for friends with a child to visit so she had an excuse to go.... At the end of the day baby drove home:

A lovely couple of days away, marred only slightly by baby b giving himself a fat lip by pulling a frighteningly heavy table over in the hotel room on the first night. I think he must have just bitten his lip as he fell as if the (glass-topped) table had actually fallen on him I think it would have been an ambulance job (did I mention it was heavy?). I have just about got to the point where I am no longer breaking out in a cold sweat when I think about it.

On the way home today we stopped at a services for lunch and in the baby changing room there was one of these. How utterly and completely brilliant. I know that some of you know that because of baby b's spina bifida, we have to do some medically-stuff with him at times during the day which make nappy changes trying for all of us, especially now he is more mobile. (I am deliberately not going into detail here. You don't need to know.) Anyway this changing mat was just brilliant and I want one. Actually I want two, one to keep in the car, but I'm not sure the budget will run to that this month!

There are other bits and pieces to blog about but you've got the highlights of our weekend there. (A giant sheep, a nearly-nasty-accident and a changing mat. Talk about rock'n'roll.)

Anyway A, I know you're reading: Thanks for a lovely weekend. Sorry baby b pooped in your bath!
