Further excitement

The zapp is here! We have been to the post office in it. (Well, baby b was in it, I was pushing, obviously). It is very lovely, although the storage will be an issue, but we can get round that. It is SO light in comparison to the old one, I hardly felt like I was pushing anything at all. Where we live is about a mile out of town, up a big hill, and all summer I have been lazily taking the car to town as the thought of pushing the giant pushchair up the big hill in the hotness has been too much. I think I may now be able to start doing it on foot again.

And it really does fold down very tiny. In fact I think you could probably get the zapp, folded, in the bag carrier bit of the old puchchair. (Although why would you want to? To prove a point, I suppose.)

It is very, very green. And I suspect, although I haven't looked yet, that it will clash horribly with the car, rather than matching. Watch me not care!

In other news, ages ago I wrote about having received information about a college reunion this year. Well, after the initial frenzied excitement, there was a lot of 'shall I or shan't I go?' thoughts, much texting and emailing and considering of the price when it's going to mean paying to stay overnight as well, I finally booked my ticket this morning. J & J booked today as well, and our names are down to be on the same table. However they managed to bag the last two college rooms (we did feel staying in halls again would be hilarious) so I will be in a B&B. That is no bad thing as there is more scope for escape back to a good book should the evening not be as good as hoped.

I was sure that once I had finally made a decision I would try to book to find I was too late, so I'm pretty pleased today that I've done it.
