I don't normally inflict my dreams on other people, but I had this one just before waking, so I remember it in more detail than usual.

I was walking through town, early in the morning, through the carpark by the bus station, and up the lane past the vicarage to the church where we go to toddler service on a Thursday. I was carrying baby b, wrapped in a blanket. When I went round the corner to the front of the church, it wasn't the same church, but a big cathedral, and I had to go up a big drive to the cathedral.

As I walked up the big drive I knew (as you do in dreams) that I was going to a graduation ceremony, and I was particularly looking forward to having a formal photo taken, with baby b wrapped in his blanket. I wondered what the photographers would make of it.

As I got up to the cathedral, there was a protest going on. Apparently Barbara Windsor was going to be there, being presented with an honourary degree, and she'd recently starred in a film where there was some cruelty to animals. So it was an animal rights protest. They were just getting there and setting up as it was still early, so there weren't many banners, but I saw one which said 'Meat is Murder'.

Then I went round another corner, and all the cathedral dignitaries were in a big group having their photo taken. There were about 50 of them, and they were all in huge amounts of regalia.

Then mr b woke me by unceremoniously flinging back the duvet and plonking baby b into bed with me.
