I haven't been here for ages. I am feeling like I have no time at the moment, but I'm not exactly sure why, which means that the most likely reason is that I am being disorganised.

Anyway, college reunion was good, if not quite what we were expecting. Plans are now afoot to try and contact all the people we were in halls with in the first year, for a bit of a bash next year. Which is more likely to be the riotous occasion we were all hoping for at the weekend.

I stayed in a lovely hotel which was expensive but worth it. I laughed very much when J and J realised that they were not in fact staying in the sparkly new halls built since we left, but in some really quite scummy old ones, with a shared shower. Made the £loads I spent on the hotel seem even more worth it.

Highlight of the evening was probably being able to greet someone with 'Clare! Haven't seen you for years - did see your photo in Hello though - nice frock!' I doubt I'll ever have that conversation again...

Other than that, not much to report, despite the busyness.

I made a handbag, which I'm quite pleased with. Baby b has been chewing the handles though:

I also cut off my favourite jeans which were getting ridiculously tatty at the bottoms (to the extent I kept getting my toes caught in the frayed bits and tripping over them) and added little turn-ups in a patterned fabric. I'm really pleased with how they look as I managed to get them exactly the right length. I need to patch the holes in the knees too but I was so taken with how they looked when I'd done the turn-ups that I've been wearing them since. I know neither patching nor turn-ups is a particularly major undertaking but I don't often do things with Actual Clothes so the cutting was a bit nerve-wracking.

Tomorrow I am going to a 'beer and craft festival' near us. If that's not a perfect pairing as far as I'm concerned, I don't know what is. I'll have to drive though unfortunately.
