Not at Greenbelt

Obviously.

But not as obviously as you might think. We booked tickets for GB this year, a few days before I had my 20 week scan. So we knew we'd be doing it with a newborn, but didn't know said newborn would be complicated. So we booked two nights in a hotel in Cheltenham, in order to have one full day at the festival.

We finally made the decision that it would be too complicated and stressful on tuesday this week. The hotel was cancellable without losing out financially and the tickets have gone to a good home. So all in all it's not a bad thing - especially after the nightmare day that was Friday (two dashes to hospital in the space of 12 hours, and very little sleep).

I am feeling sad about not being there though. Doesn't help that it would have been possible to see two of my favourite performers live in the space of a day. Grr. Still, there's next year (although counting on all my fingers and toes indicates that this time next year might well be around the time of Ginger's heart surgery).

Bother.
