I have just been to the theatre, and seen this. And bloomin' marvellous it was too.

It turns out I know the storyteller's wife, and have met him a couple of times, but didn't twig it was him (if you see what I mean) until a couple of weeks ago because, as his wife said, he looks very different suited and booted in the publicity material.

Storytelling captivates me, and also makes me want to jump up and tell stories. (This is actually a bit of a warning to you all, as if you catch me at the wrong moment over the next few weeks I may corner you and tell you the story of The Leaves That Hung But Never Grew, whether you want to hear it or not.) The fact that people can actually make a living by telling stories is as far as I am concerned an indication that the world has not yet completely gone to pot.

I went with a lady from church, when we each discovered we were intending to go alone. So that was nice. She's actually the wife of the main church leader person, and I used to spend a lot of time with her but haven't lately, so it was nice to do something non-church related together. She told me that she had put a couple of flyers up about tonight's performance in church but, hilariously, someone had taken them down, presumably because of the name.

Anyway, I just thought I'd tell you all about it so that it's not just Jack who is showing off about her current gig attendence :p
