Are we sitting comfortably? (Or indeed 'crick?')

So do you lot fancy a story then? I could do with giving my limited writing ability a bit of a work-out. I'm not going to do 'The leaves that hung but never grew' as I don't think I could do it justice. It, and one other of the stories I heard last Saturday, can be found in this book, which I think you should probably buy.

Anyway, I don't want to steal one of his stories (although they are traditional gypsy tales this book has been a long time in the writing, with lots of research), but I could tell you 'The Devil's Violin', which is a much more widespread gypsy story, which was told last Saturday, but which I think I have heard before.

Storytelling should be an oral rather than a written thing in some ways, but if you want to read it, I'll have a go at writing it. We can designate February as storytelling month. What do you think?
