I know I should really...

There was an article on the BBCi about New Year resolutions and how the mental health charity, Mind, has said that making them can be a bad thing. Because when you fail it can lead to feelings of hopelessness, low self-esteem and even mild depression (so you have been warned). Therefore I have not made any New Year resolutions this year.

Of those New Year resolutions that I didn't make I have made a start on what is probably the most important one. Today I made an appointment with The Dentist.

This may not sound too bad, until I mention that it took me three attempts to get in through the door and ask for an appointment. You may gather from this that to say that I don't really like dentists is a slight understatement. In fact, the moment I got my braces off I ran away from the dental profession and haven't looked back for the last eight or nine years. (insert whistling)

But this is to change, afterall, I am supposed to be grown up and though I may be slightly retisant about going it is the sensible thing to do. That and I broke a tooth on Christmas Day and I really should get it looked at.

Therefore, my post next Wednesday should be about my first visit to The Dentist and how much it's going to cost (insert comment about unavailability of NHS dentists anywhere). If that post isn't there I will try to have a really, really good reason as to why not.
