Working in the red zone*.....

The red zone is the opposite of the green zone (unsurprisenly). The green zone is where Network Rail stop trains from running on the train-tracks that you are working on so you don't get run over. In a red zone they don't.

Today I was working on the main line west of Reading. What this means is that rather large, intercity trains were rumbling past no more than six feet away at nearly one hundred miles an hour.... they are rather intimidating at that range.

Oh, miss lisa, I think when you refer to me being over here on the right it is because lower down I've posted some pictures that are a little large. On some internet browsers I'm over here on the left.

And yes, that is a great hat... it really does bring smiles to people's faces, and that's worth it alone. The fact that it's an amazing hat is just a bonus!!

* that's The Red Zone, not The Red Light Zone. For those of you who have inuendous thoughts... we know who you are!!! :p
