Words are all I have........

They're only words,
and words are all I have,
to take your heart away......

Which was the tune running round my head last night, not for any apparent reason though. Of course, it wasn't Boyzone who were singing it (was it them??) but in my case Meatloaf...... A big rock version, four times longer than the original. Coming to the end of the song, big rock chords They're only words..... then quiet, Meatloaf singing softer....and words are all I have and then the guitar come back in softly to finish..... to take your heart away.............

This in fact has only a little to do with what I'm going to write, but there we go (there is a little). Which such a tune running round my head (being a serial bachelor) my thoughts ran to those girls who've I've turned down over the years (with all of whom it was the right decision).

Take this story for instance.............

[flashback wavy line do-do-do-doo, do-do-do-doo, do-do-do-doo......]

Now we've floated back three and half years, back to when I was Social Sec and being just after the January Exams we went out to party. Or at least drink. Now our's wasn't the only party happening (or that I'd have wanted to go to) but luckily both parties in which I was interested in started in the same place in Wind St. Then the choice came, they were going different places, which should I go with. Well, being the organiser of one, I made my choice that way. As they say Personal isn't the same as Important. (don't know who they are, but they're stupid (as we shall see))

So leading my "party" round some pubs we eventually get to throwing out time and going home time. Being the sober one I was giving lifts home to people, and being a lovely clear (though cold) night announced that I was going for a walk along the beach. (honestly, I hadn't been drinking)

I was joined by one of the girls (which shows that I'm naive as well) who was staying up in Clyne Castle and wanted to get changed first (being in going out clothes, not walking along beach).

[Being thrown off this comp, going to see if I can move and finish off.....]

[On the next one along........]

So we went up to the room she shared, I'd not been up to Clyne before so all new to me. We go into her room and she's pointing stuff out. And then got changed. No pulling clothes out of draws, no asking me to just leave the room, just took her clothes off (not all down to underwear) rummaged in her wardrobe and pulled out some jeans and a jumper. Surreal is one way to describe it.

Anyhow, I didn't take the hint (I'm sure you'll be glad to know). This was made better when (on the walk) I discovered that she was....... slightly right-wing when it came to immigration. (I've not yet met someone else who can use the word "wog" in general conversation) which was ironic as her grand-parents came from Eastern Europe.

Now getting back to them (now you see why the bold) the reason it's all so annoying was that at the party I didn't stay with (cause of Personal and Important) was the girl whom I would have said yes to. And from what I've been able to see, hasn't got any skellies in the cupboard.

Of course, speaking of Amber....... I wonder what she's doing this week......?? I could give her a call I suppose, though I'm not sure if she's here or back home. Tempted to leave it as an open question, though instead I shall ask. I may even tell you the result!!!! ;)
