which I'm sure is a saying from a film, or a film title, but I can't find it!!!
But why I hear you ask do you bring this up....??? Well, I wouldn't want to suggest that I advocate the act of silliness, but I have been known to do the odd silly thing. Every now and again.......
For instance, I got two pieces of post today (YES!!!!!) which brings my yearly total up to about twelve pieces, which is less than the fortnightly postal arrivals for MrG. The second piece was a magazine that I (now seem) to be getting. There are only two editions per year, and the second edition is different depending on if you've been accepted...... Yes, the Official Magazine of the Flora London Marathon Run Hard which contains the entry form for 2006 has come out. I know it's going to hurt, I know that I only have a 1-3 chance of getting a place. But I'm going to enter anyway.......
Other (slightly) foolish things might be, for example, when I wandered up Crib Goch last month on my birthday. As you can see on the map the map it's a nice simple path going up the south-west ridge to the top. Then along a two-hundred yard knife-edge ridge which is quite scary. I didn't follow this path........ I sort of driffed north and came up the west face of Crib Goch (the bit with 921) which was very steep...... and by the time I realised this I wasn't in a position to try and get back down..... Now as I was planning on being out all day, if I had fallen, chances are I wouldn't have been found till the next morning. By Mountain Rescue..... well, let's say it was a little bit on the scary side. But when I got to the top, well..... I certainly felt that I'd climbed it!!! Then I headed on, waiting for the knife-edge ridge and was most confused when I got to the end and hadn't found it..... then realised that I'd been so scared by the climb I hadn't noticed the ridge!!!! It also explained the really confused looks from the two lads I passed as I walked quite happily along this ridge they'd just done!!!
I promise to not do such silly things again..... *hangs head in shame* or at least not on purpose...... ummmmm, is that better...???
And to finish..... cause I can't remember whom I was having the conversation with, J. K. Rowling is Joanne Kathleen Rowling....
