I'm, as I've said before, a big fan of Harry Potter, I've read all the books (and waiting for my copy of Book six to be returned so I can read it again.....), I read the occasional fanfiction, I have my own ideas about what might happen and that sort of thing. And in the case reading, I impose my own ideas of what I imagined the charactors look like with how they turn out in the films.
Someone like Hagrid, in my imagination looked like he did in the film, on the other hand, my Lupin did not. In other cases, where there are similarities, I've superimosed actual people I know as charactors. One of these in Tonks (Nymphadora Tonks) who appears in books five and six (and therefore not in any films, as of yet).
As might happen when you personalise a charactor in such a way they and what they do, become important to you. Hence my horror when I discovered that two of the actresses who've been named as possibles are Keira Knightly and Rosamund Pike.......... oh no...........!!!!!
Then last night, while watching the film 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' I saw the perfect actress to play Tonks. A miss Charlotte Coleman (plays Scarlet, Hugh Grant's flatmate), fantastic. And then I discovered that she died of an asthma attack aged thirty-three a couple of years ago....... which in itself is a terrible thing, the lose of any life so young, but when you realise that she died in her flat, along and was only discovered when friends were unable to get in touch, it just make's it seem that much worse.
