Before we start, Pinch, Punch, first of the month......, just to get that over with....
I have had a good weekend. It was very busy, I was working both Friday night and Sunday night, but still managed to go out Saturday night in the fair city of Wolverhampton (or W'ton as it says on the roads). And for those of you who might wonder why I might do such a crazy thing as driving nearly 400 miles just to out to bars and clubs (especially as those who know me, know that isn't really my scene) it simply because it was my dear friend Ece's 24th birthday. And as I haven't seen her since her 22nd I thought it was worth the effort!!!
I'm sure that you all will be glad that everything was really good, even when the guy was thrown through the window of the bar we were in. I also managed to catchup with a number of other people that I haven't seen in the last couple of years, so it was all really, really cool!!!
And on the Sunday she took us round the corner to her church, St Mary's, and it was really nice. Ece had spent most of the previous day checking if I wanted to go, describing it as "Happy Clappy" knowing that I hold views about happy-clappiness in churches...... but it wasn't as bad as she was making out (falls under lies that girls tell!!) and I quite enjoyed myself. In fact, the reason I think people were swaying and the occasional hand-clap was cause it was very cold in the church!!!
The tea after was very nice, though the choice of hymns were slighty suspect. We started with one of the possibly worse Wesley hymns there are. It just didn't flow, slow, fast, slow, fast..... then again, their music group wasn't all there (I have views on them as well!!!) with only the keyboard and flautist present. But they did very well I thought.
St Mary's Church, Bushbury gets my thumbs up and I would go there as well. Unless Ece wasn't lying about some services lasting two or more hours........
Now, I would tell you what the book is, but I've forgotton the title..... whoops!!! It's not a secret or anything, I'll dig it up for you!!!! Glad it was relivent, and hope that you liked it!!!!
