Food for thought..................

I had a meeting this morning to which I wasn't sure what was going to happen. It happened and it was all very interesting..... I will admit, it was all stuff that I should have done/been doing, but for a number of reasons (mainly time/money) haven't. Now, would it be better to be better organized or cut some stuff out.....

And of course, what to cut out.......???

It makes you realise just how stressful life can be. I mean, according to the quiz in the paper, I'm a "Type D personality...... which puts me alongside such fictional charactors (no, it doesn't mean I don't exist!!!) as Victor Meldrew, Steptoe, Cleggy, Basil Fawlty, Rigsby and Oscar Madison...... apparently Type D people have a fourfold increase of getting a heart attack or dying soon. In a study of 300 people in Antwerp (doing cardiac rehabilitation), within ten years 27% of the Type D patients had died, compared to only 7% from the others..... this is supposed to make us Type D people feel better how....???

The Independent keeps up the joyful news starting a list today, of "100 Things Your Grandchildren May Never See" all very doom and gloom I'm sure you'll agree, but we are talking about The Independent!!!! However, I'll give it to them, there were very few things that I saw and thought "what's the point of that being there.....".

But one caught me out. At number 48 was Speakers' Corner. Apparently there are fewer and fewer people actually going out there and speaking...... I mean yes, you could get wet if it rained, or made a fool by a heckler.... Of course, as Walter Wolfgang learnt, that now appears to be against the Prevention of Terrorism Act!!!!

In fact, I think we should organise a trip to Speakers' Corner and have our say..... it'll be fun; and entertaining for the crowd!!!

Anyone interested.......??? Anyone......????
