Nakedness...................

Wait for it, I will get to the point of the blog in a moment. Or two......

Despite most things (like diet, having time for exercise) I have fairly good fitness elvels. I can go jogging, play squash for an hour and still want to play more (not very well, but......), I can hike for several hours with a heavy pack. And all of this while being on the squishy side (I was told only last week that I wasn't really (thanks) but I could do with loosing a few pounds).

And this all leads to the AU Calendar. That and I told the AU committee that we might be interested in doing it (well, setting up my committee is fun). Now I'm sure that there are a number of you who have no idea about the AU calendar. If I was to mention "Calendar Girls" it should give you an idea of the sort of material (in levels if risqueness) that we're talking about.

Now, in the last calendar (2002) the clubs that participated were the big clubs, men's rugby, football, cricket, ladies rugby, men's and ladies hockey and netball. You may note that all of these clubs happen to be single-sex clubs. And they all have equipment that can be used to cover up, erm.... 'equipment'.

We, on the other hand, are a mixed club and our equipment isn't noted for it "covering" potential. I'm not saying it can't be done, I can think of a couple of ways..... It was done most famously in 1996 by Alison Williamson (no, not that photo) during the Atlanta Olympics.

The other thing is, we're not the most 'athletic' of clubs. What can I say?? I'm on the squishy side and I'm one of the best in the club. If anything, extra weight = more stability. Well, that's what I say!!!

Oh well, never mind......... I've a feeling that the club will say no anyway.....
