I haven't taken as many photographs in recent months as I usually do, mainly cause I just haven't got the time, but it is one of my great joys. However, I am one of these people who are very sceptical of the "digital" revolution in photography. I know people who take hundreds of photos and then go delete most of them, cause they're just no good, whereas, cause I don't want to waste film I pause and consider how to frame the photograph I'm about to take.
Now I'm not saying that computers can't be useful with photographs. There are some photos that just look better when in black and white. Scan in a colour photo, hit the grayscale button and a picture which before might just have been ok suddenly becomes atmospheric.
I have a several (which I may put up tomorrow) that I've converted to B&W which makes them so much better. This isn't just the case with landscapes though. There's just something about B&W protraits of people that works as well. Get the light right, you don't need to worry about about colour clashes and you get beautiful pictures.
So, if I can sort out the getting the images small enough, and still look good, they'll go up tomorrow!!!!
