On Sunday, taking advantage of the nice weather and needing bread, I headed to Tesco using a much longer route along the seafront. It was nice. There were some people making sandcastles..... actually, by the fact that they had put down a couple hundred of them, I suspect they were doing more than just that. Possibly making a small town or maybe some arty thing when it was finished and looked at from above. I don't know, it looked rpetty cool though. If I had my camera, I'd show you the picture!!

And on my way back... well, I had to have a ice-cream.... and it was lovely!!!!

I've taken this from todays paper, the sad thing is I know exactly what he means, and I know the places and the locomotives mentioned.....

"There can be no finer sight than seeing the line curving over Ribblehead Viaduct from the footplate of a two-cylinder 4-6-0 Black Five steam engine, no greater thrill than easing back the regulator on a quiant old double-boilered locomotive as it approaches Blaenau Ffestiniog."

I mention this because it seems that newly qualified train-drivers are earning between £28-£38 thousand a year, tempting many proffesionals, from bankers, scientist and journalists to the world of rail.

Get paid for driving a train...... where do I sign up???
