Well I'm back, a round journey of one thousand one hundred and eighteen miles to Scotland's second city. Glasgow. It was fun.
There were unfun parts. The arriving at the hostel after driving 450 miles and discovering that there was no night porter and it had closed up for the night wasn't nice. Discovering that I had left my map at home. Driving round Glasgow for an hour trying to find a supermarket open at 2.30am. Those sort of things.
But apart from that it was great!!
The competition went well, and the rain forecast for the Sunday didn't turn up. I had a rest day on Monday in Cumbria so Cenwein and I went for a walk along part of Hadrian's Wall. There will be photos when they come off my camera, I also some spare postcards if anyone wants to be sent one. Just ask.
Tuesday saw me driving from "The North" down to "The Midlands" where I stopped over with Ece, gossiping and chatting over our current favourit topic. Religious music. Traditional vs. Modern. Dropped her off at work this morning (having breakfast in the work canteen) and then the final push home. Got sort of lost between work and the motorway, but made it in the end.
Now, take book back to library.....
