Right, where was I......??? Ahh, yes, taking candy from a baby!!!
Friday night I was down in Petersfield for a competition which I was looking forward to. I've been in good form recently and I know that the guy I was competing against isn't as good as me. It should hve been like taking candy from a baby, but like Mr Burns in the episode 'Who shot Mr Burns? pt2' I discovered that taking candy isn't always that easy. Luckilly I didn't end up getting shot!!!
However, after a terrible loss of form, it meant that I came away with the silver medal when I knew I should of had the gold. I know that there aer people who will stand there and say that you win the silver medal as much as you win the gold, but that totally depends on the situation. In this case I should have won the gold but things just went to pieces on the night (literally, "Judge - equipment failure!!!") and I lost the gold.
Obviously I shall try harder next time to avenge myself, though a trip to Hampton Court to get new stuff to replace broken stuff will be needed before then.
While I don't mind losing every now and again I am someone who prefers to win. It bugs me to lose and when it's for no real reason that just gets more annoying. Must get better!!!!
