There is nothing quite so great as getting mail through the post. I, for preference, enjoy both sending and receiving postcards. I like getting letters as well, but I can stick postcards up on the wall, letters, well, you can really do that with letters.
My friend Yip recommended the website Postcrossing. The idea behind it is that when you sign up you are sent the address of someone, somewhere in the world and you send them a postcard. Once you have sent a card your address is given to someone to send you a card.
So far I've sent three cards off to Finland (they like postcards there) and have received cards from Portugal, Germany and Finland.
It was the Finnish one that arrived today. A lighthouse with matching lighthouse postage stamp. What's really cool though is that the stamp is glow in the dark!!! When it's dark the lightbeams are glowing!!!
