Well, after spending the day in London where it didn't get above eight degrees (or forty-six in old money) and that NOT counting wind-chill I was suitably chuffed to discover that this week is British Sausage Week. Apparently we (the British Public) spend over £517 million a year (up from £499 million last year).
Now personally I love sausages. They are one of the greatest food groups going. And so versatile. You can have them in sandwiches (my fav is grilled, halved, melted cheese and worcester sauce on top), or I use them as the meat source for curries. Mmmmmm, sausage curry..... :)
Now, as it happens, this week is also National Vegan Week and not wanting to put them down in any way, shape or form, well, I know which I'd choose. Something I did wonder though, at the top of their webpage they've gt photos of a baby suckling, a calf suckling and their trusted Sunflower logo. If you don't use any animal products why would you have cows?? Not for the milk, meat or leather. Same with sheep, pigs and any other animals. Chickens, ducks, geese. Chocolate mice, easter eggs, the list just goes on.... Angel Delight!!!
