Having spent the week commuting into London on the trains I understand that they can be a bit busy and that you have to be lucky to get a seat, let alone get a seat with space. Coming home is a bit easier because if you know which train is yours you an get on it straight after it's pulled in, dropping off all the people it's just brought into Waterloo.
So you can imagine my annoyance when after a long, cold day, I have a seat and some guy sits in the seat next to me, even though the train wasn't even half full yet!!!
Now SouthWest Trains don't have the widest seats, and being broad across the shoulders I don't really fit (as most people don't) into their seats without overhanging into the next one. So when a largish guy sits next to me, when there are plenty of other empty seats, well..... grrrrr.....
So I damned well kept sitting where I was, reading my paper, not doing that shifting so both people can sit comfortably that you'd normally do. And even though, from his shifting, he obviously wasn't as comfortable as he'd like to be, did he move to one of the many empty seats... no.
Therefore I came up with an evil plan. When he dozed off I tried to make him fall off the seat by gently pushing him sideways. Unfortunally the stop at Woking woke him up before he fell...... drat.
And no, I couldn't have moved, cause I had lots of stuff and was blocked in by the guy in the first place.
