There are times, like now, when I'm feeling a little down and have nothing to do I have found that watching an episode of Firefly brings me up.
I came across this fantastic series by picking up a dvd of the film Serenity on the simple basis that the front cover looked cool and it was made by Joss Whedon the creator of Buffy and Angel, both of which I enjoyed greatly. It is a brilliant film and while watching the extras I discovered that it was based on a tv series.
It is only fourteen episodes long due to the simple fact that the Fox Broadcasting Company doesn't know a good thing when it's got it (apart from The Simpsons). Not only did they fail to recommission a second series they didn't even bother show the whole series!!!
Muppets.
Anyhow, due to the fact that there are only fourteen episodes I do ration them to myself. Apart from New Years when I watched three episodes in a row with Ece, because it's a special day.
Having watched my episode for this evening (it was amazing) I shall now have to wait till sometime next week before watching the next. I have only two left after which I can go back and watch them all again. A bit faster, but not so they're burnt into my mind. I want them to remain special.
