And when I say "we're" I mean 'me' and "summer holiday" translates to just 'a holiday'. My last proper holiday was back in 2002 (day trips to Winter Olympics not withstanding) when I visited Canada for a couple of weeks and the US for about ninety minutes (ironically I was unable to find a McDonalds). Therefore I have decided to go back, say hello to a few people and generally relax.
Which'll be nice.
Flying out late March and coming back early April (before my mum's b-day) I'm hoping to visit friends in Ottawa, Hamilton and Ricmond (VA) and anyone else who happens to be along the way..... or off it a bit, not really planned that much so far!!
Among the many things that I hope to sqeeze in are;
Ottawa - getting a proper look around Ottawa, I visited last time on spur of the moment as I had a few days spare, seemed a lovely place, any suggestions???
Toronto - I have visited (and been up) the CN Tower and will definatly be revisiting the Hockey Hall of Fame.... and there's the possibility of a Leafs/Habs game in the Air Canada Center....
Richmond - I know nothing about Richmond.... and very little about Virginia, so looking forward to some warmer weather.
Washington DC - aparently only five hours away and with so many things to see..... the Zoo, Smithonsian, White House, all sorts of places....
Other Places - I'm sure to have a few spare days free, there's only so long I can bug friends for after all!!! Therefore, other places that I might like to visit??? Both in the above cities and elsewhere!!!
And to lbs - "Hey, if you make it out to this bit of Canada, let me know. I'll be cross with you if you come all the way over here and don't even say Boo...." like the Arrogant Worm's song says, 'Canada's Really Big' ("...we're the second largest country on this planet earth, and if Russia keeps on shrinking, then soon we'll be first!!! (as long as we keep Quebec!!)...").... I'll gladly come over and say "boo!" but there are places that will take me longer to get to than from here to Ottawa!!!
