I had been going to chat about this vicar who, by being an arse, sacked the choirmaster of his Cathedral-standard choir, watched them crumble and then dismissed the remaining members of the choir. This being a vicar who thinks that 'Shine Jesus Shine' is more listen-worthy than an amazing church choir!!!
That had been my plan because the shortsightedness of this fool is simply unbelievable. I mean, if you have one of the best chuch choirs in the area you try to use them, not drive them out.
However, my attention was taken by the simple fact that I came across one of these this afternoon!!
Now I can't remember the last time I came across a lizard out in the British countryside, let alone in early March. In Continental Europe, yes.... if you ever visit the Roman Amplithetre in Trier in the summer you will see dozens of lizards sunning themselves. But it's a lot colder here and now.
And when I say I saw, hat I mean is that I heard movement in the undergrowth, I knelt down to have a closer look and it came out, walked up to my knee and looked up at me to see what I was....... I mean it was less than six inches away..... that was cool!!
Certainly more cool than some muppet in Somerset......
