Now some people may remember that back round Christmas time I grumbled about crashing my bike. I mention this simply in passing as I haven't ridden my bike since..... for one reason or another.... for example...
I had a few books to go back to the library today so I decided that I would bike down.... it tis a sunny day afterall. Then my dad asked if I could take his books back as well...... by now I had a fairly hefty pile of books to go back, so I took my car.
By which, I mean my car.... that finally seems to be working again, after much cleaning through of carbarettas and stuff..... though the spedometer is a bit..... dodgy.... doesn't work when you accelerate, only going steady or braking.
Anyway, I was going to the library to see if they had any Bruce Springsteen cds and any travel books on Canada.
They had five books on Canada. Two were 'Working and Living In....' books, two were small pocket guides to Toronto and the fifth was a book about a fisherman from Nova Socia.......
If I had wanted to I could have picked up numerous books on places like Turkey or Peru.... even (and I kid you not) Uzbekistan had better coverage than Canada. If I wanted to know about Florida or the Marshall Islands I would have no problem, but alas the second largest country in the world was barely mentioned......
Therefore I shall have to surfice with what I have learnt through watching episodes of Due South.
