A wasted day...........

After finishing work on Friday (which was the first day that week where I awoke not feeling tired, mainly because I feel asleep at 8pm.... when I woke up briefly at 11.30pm I guessed it was too late to make the phone call I was going to and went to bed properly) I did not head straight home for I had a Competition on Saturday.

I'm sure you'll all be glad to hear that I managed to win, despite everything that tried to stop me in the last week, and after the prize giving stopped Up-The-Hill for tea, mouse and Futurama/CSI-NY.

Then I headed home.

It took some time.

Because of this.

Don't worry, I was involved directly, however when they closed the M4 I had already passed the last junction (17) and so was stuck for nearly three hours before the police turned us around and sent us back. Once back off the M4 it was then a case of driving on the small roads to J16 (Swindon). I'm not saying that the detour is long but I did pass a sign that said 'New Zealand 1/2'......

Not arriving home till 5am it meant that I've slept away most of the morning and as I'm off early tomorrow (back to Crickhowell) one could ask was it even worth coming home for the half day that I'm going to have??

This incidence does mean that however I have now finished a book and read three magazines, have napped and have used a telescope, all while sitting in the driver's seat, in the middle lane of the M4.
