So far, the shortest time I have ever spent in the US has been ninety minutes. I will admit that the Border Control Officer did look slightly confused when he asked me for my length of stay and I said about an hour, but that was how long I thought it would take me to buy/write/post a couple of cards just to say that I had been. Well, tomorrow I'm going to see if I can beat that time with what can only be described as a flying visit to The States.
I suspect that there might be a little bit more interest in my dinner-date, but I think the time/effort for what should be a very short trip to a different country is a better example of just how abnormal my life really is!!!
