Dear Aunty Bimble,
I'd like some advice please. I dont know what job to do and have therefore ended up working in admin (despite having a BSc and an MSc). What should I do?
Dear Wibfish,
oh deary, deary, dear. Admin is the first step to wearing grey and thinking that wearing stripy socks is the height of "office-risque". Of course, I am not suggesting that you hand-in your notice on Monday, for that would be silly and rash, but perhaps you should start considering what else you might like to do?? I note that you can bake (Mmmmm, cupcakes.....). This is the website for National Association of Master Bakers.
Maybe something different, The National Trust' job-search page allows you to search for NT jobs by region.
I, having done nearly two degrees in chemistry, am currently working as a junior surveyor. In fact, in the company that I work for only two people have actually trained as surveyors. Everyone else has come from other things. I have spent the week working with someone who has spent the last couple of years working on a dairy farm in New Zealand (so there might be a job available there!!!).
If there is something that you love and enjoy, and it's possible to do it for a living, look into it. If you can do it, go for it.
Gird your loins and charge!!!!!
Hope this helps,
luv Aunty Bimble :)
