Something for the trip home......

Well, I'm working on the railways now (as you may have guessed from below). In actual fact I'm working under the railway but that's beside the point.

I don't really like working in London in the winter months. It's dark when you get up out of bed, and it's dark by the time you get home and it just feels like you've lost the whole day. But there is a bright spark for the end of the day, and it's found in the free paper thelondonpaper.

It's the comic, Em.

dress

It follows the life and times of our heroine, Em, as she deals with all the craziness that comes from being in your twenties and living and working in London. It is one of the few things that just make my trip home enjoyable. Apart from actually getting home that is!!

They are usually short, self-contained stories such as above. Just a small bit of schadenfreude (I knew listening to Avenue Q would pay off) to make you smile.

Or they might be like below, a small nugget of truth about people.

noise

Because I too have sat there, stuck to listening to the cricket on the radio. England either needing a handfull of runs at the end of the day, or needing to prevent runs being scored. Much more fun that watching it on tv. And yes, guys will just tune you out if they don't want to listen, or you happen to be talking about shopping, or shoes, jewellry, Hollioaks

There are many more than just these two, and they can be found at em cartoons and I would suggest that you go look and enjoy. Especially as I was a good boy and asked permission before putting the above comics up and so I might be checked up, just to make sure that I did write nice stuff. It's always a good idea to stay on the nice side of the author, because that way, when the eventual book comes out it's easier to get it signed!!!

Go on, go look.... shoo!!
