Is it all over.......????

Some people may know that I have been a postgraduate student for a while now. By which I mean even longer than I was an undergraduate. So long in fact that I've been working full-time as a surveyor for over a year.

You may remember a while ago I announced that I had submitted my thesis. That was infact at the end of January.

Last year.

It then took nine months for a viva to be organised, which was done to conincide with my Supervisor's brother's wedding. So he wasn't around. The viva was somehow passed, though I have no idea how, but with a whole load of corrections.

These were mainly done over a two week period last September after which I left the new rewrite with my Supervisor.

He read through it all and got back to me a couple of weeks ago with a couple of things that needed changing. He then called me the next day to say that the Registry Office had gotten in touch with him just to mention that we'd passed my final, last-ever deadline. By a couple of weeks.

Ahhh.....

Anyhow, after getting in touch with them to point out that it was our mistake, that we thought that our deadline was the end of the month not early in the month, and that we had the thesis all ready to give to them, they relented and said that I could submit.

But I thought I should mention that my thesis has been bound and been handed in, and if they pass it and don't expect me to do another viva I shall be graduating this coming summer. Thought you might like to know.

If they do expect me to do another viva, though my examiners did say that they didn't want to if they didn't have to, things might not be so easy. They're not easy. I hated my first, I was so nervous that I forgot some really basic stuff. I developed a stammer, wasn't unable to sit still in my seat and got almost every question asked wrong.

But hopefully they won't.... oh please don't let them want another one...
