Yesterday I went to a performance of Handel's Messiah given by a local singing group (Waverley Singers) and I enjoyed it greatly. Handel's Messiah is one of those pieces where everyone knows the 'Messiah' and 'Unto Us A Child Is Born' but there is nearly two and a half hours more music. I will admit, I did feel slightly sorry for hte soprano soloist who had a very long wait in both Acts before she got to do any singing.
Alas I'm unable to show you anything from that concert so instead I shall share this version of Messiah that I find just so.... amazing!!
