If you're quick (before 2pm Thursday) you too can vote on Radio 2's "Best Bedtime Story". I was actually listening to Radio 2 this lunchtime and heard about this and my first thought on what the best bedtime story was the first in a series of books that I loved during my childhood. Five On A Treasure Island, which is the first in the 'Famous Five' series by Enid Blyton. Much to my surprise this was one of the short listed books!!
Got my vote! ;o)
I was quite pleased that of the eight shortlisted books I had read five of them and of the remaining three I had heard of two of them. If you would like to vote for your favourite the shortlist is:
