Costa del Sol

On holiday on the Costa del Sol. The sun is up the temperature is warm, very warm. and I am spending a few minutes sitting on a balcony listening to the sea and the crickets and looking out to where the blue of the Mediterranean meets the paler blue of the sky. Bliss. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="300"] The view from the apartment balcony[/caption]

Calahonda Baptist Church

This morning myself and Linda, my wife, went the short distance to Calahonda Baptist Church. Our daughter was feeling a migraine coming on, and her husband was still in bed, the effect of an early flight on Saturday morning meant no sleep on Friday night. Lack of sleep was taking its toll. When we got back to the apartment from church both were looking well. Me? I’m feeling well too, after taking part in that greatest of Spanish customs, the siesta. Last time Linda and I were in Southern Spain we attended Calahonda Baptist Chuch (when on holiday from home we tend to holiday from Anglicanisn as well). At that time they were sharing the Norwegian Lutheran Church’s building. Now they are in their own place. A new white building not far from the shopping centre. A goos service with a warm welcome and (more importantly) cool air conditioning. A good place to be.
