Trains and boats and planes (Are you old enough to remember that song?)
Well only one of each actually.
The train goes into Manchester Airport, there is a station between the terminals.
The plane takes Linda, my wife and I to Gran Canaria.
The boat, and this was a surprise to us, is the Operation Mobilisation (OM) ship Logos Hope will be in Gran Canaria at the same time. We heard about it from the church website we looked up.
Now a few years ago (I have to use the word few, Linda could be reading this) when my Linda was 16, some of the people from OM led a mission in Huddersfield, and two of them stayed at her home during that week.
I was introduced to the work of OM when we started going out.
Later on we stayed on one of their ships when they were in port in Liverpool.
It will be good to reacquaint ourselves with them and their work.

Additional:
In holiday we found the church which was hosting the OM team. The Tuesday Prayer meeting was changed to prayer and meeting some of the OM people. Sunday service was taken by OM people and we visited the boat, a few words about Linda's connections got us through to other parts of the boat without a ticket.
It is good to see how literature (they do mostly educational books with a smaller section for Bibles and evangelistic literature) can open doors to talking about God when other avenues are closed.
It is always humbling to hear stories of God working in people's lives, such as you get with OM people.
